We visited the montane beech forests of the Bükk Plateau (in the Bükk National Park) in northeast Hungary in early October. Location: Bükk Plateau. Date: 06-08.10.2016.

Mire of Álmosd, Hungary (Moor von Álmosd, Ungarn) (Álmosdi Daru-láp, Magyarország) 08-09.2016.

The wet meadows of the Daru Mire of Álmosd in the southernmost part of the Nyírség Region are remnants of the postglacial period, when former river valleys were closed by sand dunes. It has many relict plants of cooler eras. It is located next to the even wetter Mire of Kokad and both are parts of the Kék Kálló Valley Natura 2000 area. Location: Mire of Álmosd. Date: 08-09.2015.

Greater Boston, USA (Boston und Umgebung, USA) (Boston és környéke, USA) 05.2016.

I've spent the month of May 2016 in Cambridge, MA. Occasionally, I had my camera with me and took photos of the surprisingly diverse local wildlife in the Greater Boston area. Location: Greater Boston. Date: 01-31.05.2016.

Middlesex Fells Reservation, USA II. (Middlesex Fells Reservat, USA II.) (Middlesex Fells Rezervátum, USA II.) 05.2016.

The Middlesex Fells is a forest of 3,400 acres just north of Boston, protected since 1894. The Fells are an upland with narrow north–south ridges and valleys, vulcanic bedrock, glacial kettle ponds and water reservoirs. Despite being on the edge of the Greater Boston Metropolitan Area, its flora is remarkable, with Rich Mesic Forests, Rocky Summits, Pitch Pine-Scrub Oak Communities, Vernal Pools, etc. The area is one of the few surviving sites of the Boston Basin Ecoregion. For the second time, I visited the Oakldale Park, the eastern Cross Fells Trail, and the Virginia Wood Trail in late May. Location: Middlesex Fells. Date: 28.05.2016.

Blue Hills Reservation, USA (Blue Hills Reservat, USA) (Blue Hills Rezervátum, USA) 05.2016.

I went on a cycling tour to visit the Blue Hills Reservation and the Ponkapoag Bog south of Boston. The whole area is a popular tourist destination but preserved a remarkable biodiversity in the Boston Metropolitan Area. Ferns were especially diverse. Location: Blue Hills Reservation.
