In Mittel-Dalmatien haben wir ein trockenes, sandiges Gebiet neben Košute besucht, wo wir viele interessante Tiere, vor allem unter Steinen gefunden haben. Ort: Košute, Trilj. Datum: 24.05.2011.
Közép-Dalmáciában felkerestünk egy száraz, homokos területet Košute mellett, ahol érdekes állatokra leltünk, főleg a kövek alatt. Hely: Košute, Trilj. Dátum: 2011.05.24.

One of the strangest insects of the Mediterranean, the Empusa fasciata (a cone-headed mantid). It can reach a body lenght of 8 cm.
Eine der seltsamsten Insekten des Mittelmeerraumes, die Fangschrecke Empusa fasciata. Es kann eine Körperlänge von 8 cm erreichen.
Itt találtuk meg a Mediterráneum egyik legfurcsább rovarát, a tollas fogólábút (Empusa fasciata). 8 cm-es testhosszt is elérhet.

We found a really strange myriapod, Himantarium gabrielis a garden centipede from the family Himantariidae. It has more than 320 legs and it is unbelievably long (14 cms, but it may be even longer):
Wir haben einen sehr merkwürdigen Hundertfüßler, Himantarium gabrielis gefunden. Diese Art ist ein Erdläufer aus der Familie Himantariidae, der mehr als 320 Beine hat und unglaublich lang ist (14 cm, aber es kann auch länger werden):
Előkerült egy nagyon furcsa soklábú is, a Himantarium gabrielis, egy, a Himantariidae családba tartozó rinya. Több, mint 320 lába van és hihetetlenül hosszú (14 cm, de még hosszabbra is megnő):
