Nyírábrány, Hungary (Nyírábrány, Ungarn) (Nyírábrány, Magyarország) 09-10.2014.

In the autumn I visited the lowland hay meadows and alkaline fens of the Teleki Pasture, the birch moor in Keszler-tag, and the ash-dominated riparian mixed forests of the Kis-Mogyorós Forest, Natura 2000 sites in Nyírábrány, South Nyírség Region. Location: Nyírábrány. Date: 09-10.2014.

Miskolc, Hungary (Miskolc, Ungarn) (Miskolc, Magyarország) 08-10.2014.

In the late summer and autumn of 2014 I visited two tourist destinations in the Bükk Mountains, Lillafüred and Miskolctapolca. Along native ones, at both places I spotted many non-native species. Especially the thermal waters of Miskolctapolca hosted many alien species. Location: Miskolc. Date: 08-09.2014.

South Nyírség, Hungary (Süd-Nyírség, Ungarn) (Dél-Nyírség, Magyarország) 06-08.2014.

Most of the isolated remaining natural landscapes of the South Nyírség Region are integrated into the Hajdúság Landscape Protection Area (and partially into the Natura 2000 Network). Here, on the north-eastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain, a slight depression may be called a valley, and small elevations are referred to as hills. Hence the names of some protected areas: Valley of the Kék-Kálló, or Daru Hills of Bagamér. I visited these places and the Gúti Forest, the Teleki Pasture, the Káposztás-Plain and the small Keszler-tag Birch Moor in summer. Meadow-steppes, sand dunes, moors and old-growth forests sustain a remarkable biodiversity here. Place: Vámospércs, Nyírábrány and Bagamér. Date: 06-08.2014.

In the summer of 2014 I found many peculiar arthropods and fungi in the city of Debrecen, as well as the recently described orchid named Tallos' Helleborine. Location: Debrecen. Date: 06-08.2014.

Buda Hills, Hungary (Budauer Berge, Ungarn) (Budai-hegység, Magyarország) 08.2014.

We travelled to Budapest and Budaörs, also visiting the Sas-hegy Nature Protection Area in the heart of Buda. Even today, this area is inhabited by several rare and occasionally endemic species. Place: Budapest, Budaörs. Date: 14-15.08.2014.

Rudabánya, Hungary (Rudabánya, Ungarn) (Rudabánya, Magyarország) 07.2014.

We visited the Radabánya-lake, a spectacular quarry lake in the Rudabánya Hills, North-East Hungary in July. Date: 17.07.2014.

Tokaj: Kopasz Mount, Hungary (Tokaj: Kopasz Berg, Ungarn) (Tokaj: Kopasz-hegy, Magyarország) 07.2014.

We went on a hike from Tokaj to Tarcal in the Tokaj Wine Region Historic Cultural Landscape (UNESCO), through the Kopasz Mount in the middle of the summer. Location: Tokaj and Tarcal. Date: 15.07.2014.

In the spring of 2014, I mainly focused on the characteristic and common plants of these places. Place: Vámospércs, Nyírábrány and Bagamér. Date: 04-05.2014.
